INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR BRAKE TUBE FLEXIBLE HOSE

(a) Install the flexible hose with the 3 bolts.

  • for bolt A

Torque: 29 N·m (296 kgf·cm, 21 ft·lbf)

  • for bolt B

Torque: 13 N·m (127 kgf·cm, 9 ft·lbf)


(b) Install the flexible hose and a new gasket to the disc brake cylinder with the union bolt.

Torque: 30 N·m (306 kgf·cm, 22 ft·lbf)

HINT:

Install the flexible hose lock securely in the lock hole in the cylinder.

(c) Set the flexible hose to the connecting point with the brake tube, and then attach a new clip.

(d) Using a union nut wrench, connect the flexible hose tube.

  • without union nut wrench

Torque: 15 N·m (155 kgf·cm, 11 ft·lbf)

  • with union nut wrench

Torque: 14 N·m (144 kgf·cm, 10 ft·lbf)

NOTICE:

2. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE FLUID: REPLACEMENT (2008 Sequoia)+

3. BLEED AIR FROM BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE FLUID: REPLACEMENT (2008 Sequoia)+

4. BLEED AIR FROM BRAKE LINE BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE FLUID: REPLACEMENT (2008 Sequoia)+

5. BLEED AIR FROM VSC ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE FLUID: REPLACEMENT (2008 Sequoia)+

6. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE FLUID: REPLACEMENT (2008 Sequoia)+

7. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK

8. INSTALL REAR WHEEL REAR SUSPENSION: REAR SHOCK ABSORBER: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+
